2007 The reserves were very unlucky not to take something from the last game against Greenwich Borough. We need to take our chances in the next match. Still the signs are there that we could have a good season. Training 2007/8TRAINING Starting in a few weeks training will now be at Eltham Green School. I will confirm the details nearer the time. At present we are training at Old Roan's ground. To confirm details please contact Neil Fereby. July 17 Geoffrey HarrisFormer player Geoffrey Harris has emailed the club:
Here is a copy of his email below. Any of you former players out there, it is always good to hear from you. Feel free to send in your stories and photos if possible.

From: Geoffrey Harris Subject: From one of the 'old boys' To: steve@elthampalacefc.co.uk Hi Steve Just discovered and visited the EPFC website, it brings back some great memories. I was at school and friends with all the founder members, and regularly supported the team in the early years.I played for the club for several years in the 70's, and later' ran the 2nd team and was Social Secretary at the same time. It was interesting to see the photos sent in by Pete Johnson, and recognise all the lads featured. I stiil keep in touch and meet occasionally with some of them. I still regularly look for the club's results in the local papers, and hope to see the first team make it into the top division of the Kent League before very long. All the very best to the teams next season, and keep the EPFC flag flying. regards Geoff Harris PS If you forward this to Pete in Canada : All the best Pete you might remember me from the early days. I see Paul Sterne in the local supermarket most weeks, and will get him to check the EPFC website if Greg has'nt told him about it already. Steve Keable 2Wickham Park 'A' 1 - 2 Eltham Palace FC We left it late but we got the win we deserved. Steve Keable grabbed both our goals. The first, a header from a corner early in the first half and the second just before the end of the match from a Rompo through ball volleyed past their keeper. At the time of this report, my understanding is that Crofton have won today as well. So it all goes down to the last game of the season. First and foremost we need to win our game, so let's make sure we are up for it next Saturday. May 02 Results to 28 Apr 2007First Team:

PROMOTED!!! Excellent work everyone on our confirmation of promotion.
Let's really put it in last two gains and try and take that top spot.
Reserves:
League Game 25/4/2007 Heath 1 - 4 Eltham Palace FC Alan Hunter, Mark Murrison, Steve Keable, Steve Rodgers
First up, Alan Hunter scored, for me, the goal of the season with an audacious lob over the keeper from the centre circle kick off just after we had conceded with the score at 3-1. This was not only a great goal but killed off the threat of a late surge from our opponents.
The first twenty minutes of this game were poor by our standards, but we managed to turn things round and eventually win comfortably. April 23 Results to 21 Apr 2007First Team: League Games 21/4/2007 Meridian 3 - 4 Eltham Palace FC M.Naden T.Ritrovato B.Smith F.Windsor Reserves: Semi Final Cup Game 21/4/2007 Lewisham 2 - 0 Eltham Palace FC Unlucky everyone. I hear we put in a good performance but our opponents grabbed two goals early in the second half which made it difficult for us to come back. We can now use that classic cliché and 'concentrate on the league'. First Team: League Games 18/4/2007 Farnborough O.B Guild 1 - 8 Eltham Palace FC Chris Devito April 15 Results to 14 April 2007League Games 14/4/2007 Reserves:Cray W & N.B. 4 - 5 Eltham Palace FC Mark Nadan, Chris Devito 2, Lee Bunce, Dennis Williams League Game 14/4/2007 Crofton Albion 0 - 6 Eltham Palace FC Alan Hunter, Luke Wooten, Scott Grant, Mark Murrison, Dafe, Steven Keable Excellent performance everyone, against our top of the table rivals in the league. Six different scorers shows what a great team performance it was. The first goal was a typical piece of Alan Hunter magic, sweetly volleying the ball with his left foot into the keepers near post. Second up was another great goal. Scott Grant scored a beautiful header from a Steve Rodgers cross following a nice dummy by the Hunter. Luke Wooten then scored from a corner from about a metre out firing the ball into the top left of the goal, although I'm not sure Luke was aiming there! Mark Murrison then stepped up for his customary goal, cooly sliding the ball under the keeper after Scott had managed to get the ball to him in the box. Dafe then made an excellent cameo role as sub and scored after only a few minutes of coming on. Using his strength he strode into the box from the left and fired the ball in off the right hand post. Finally, Steve Keable scored a tap in after a fantastic pass from Luke (or was it a shot, I couldn't possibly say) following more good work from Scott Grant and Mark Murrison on the right. Other than the scorers we need to add that Simon was excellent at right back, Tom had their big fella in his pocket all game, Ferret was very solid and Brendan did not put a foot wrong all game Finally, excellent goalkeeping by the man in goal, pulling off some great saves when he was called upon.
